Fishing and kayaking on the lagoon will have you feeling like a true adventurer, surrounded by a diverse array of animals. It's like being in your own National Geographic episode, but with a fishing rod or a paddle instead of a camera.
Limited transportation options.

Neem Jay Beach Resort was an amazing stay! the fish for dinner was so tasty, and the manager was professional and attentive. the room was clean and comfortable, and the garden was beautiful, full of wildlife. the shower had strong water pressure. the resort is around 10 minutes walk from a swim beach, but there's a stunning beach for sunbathing just 3 minutes away.

The hotel's decoration exuded a charming and home-like atmosphere, with beautiful traditional accents that added a touch of elegance. The general areas were well-maintained and provided plenty of comfortable seating, making it easy for seniors like myself to relax and enjoy the surroundings. , the hotel's accessibility for senior people was commendable, with smooth pathways, handrails, and no steps to navigate.
For a better vacation experience for senior people, it would be wonderful if the children working there could organize some leisure activities specifically tailored for seniors. Activities that promote relaxation, gentle exercise, and social interaction would greatly enhance the overall stay for older guests like me.

I recently stayed at the charming Neem Jay Beach Resort for three nights on my solo trip. The family who owns this guesthouse went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. They even helped me navigate the challenging journey to the hotel when the bridge was closed due to flooding. The location is a peaceful retreat, close to a beautiful beach where I enjoyed relaxing walks. The breakfast provided was delicious, and the care they put into maintaining the grounds was evident. I truly felt safe and cared for throughout my stay. I highly recommend this authentic and welcoming getaway.
Strongly recommend this hotel.

The breakfast was amazing with homemade bread, jam, butter, eggs, and fruit. the Sri Lankan breakfast was massive and delicious. the location is lovely, away from the hustle and bustle, and only 200 meters from a deserted beach. the family who runs the cabanas are lovely, warm, and always helpful.
Felt very well looked after, nothing too much trouble.

We had an amazing time at a lovely resort near the beach. The cabanas were clean and comfortable, surrounded by beautiful mangroves. The family who runs the place was incredibly friendly and accommodating, fulfilling all our wishes. The homemade Sri Lankan food served for breakfast and dinner was delicious. Though the sea was too wild for swimming, the deserted beaches were enchanting and we even discovered a small dinner facility. we highly recommend this family-owned resort.

The resort facilities were top-notch, with a refreshing outdoor pool and a well-equipped gym, providing ample opportunities for leisure and wellness. The attentive and friendly staff ensured that my every need was met, enhancing my overall experience.

During my stay at Neem Jay Beach Resort in Tangalle, I was captivated by the stunning surroundings and the peaceful ambiance. The database's accurate depiction of the sea being too wild for swimming was a fantastic heads-up, allowing me to enjoy the small strip that was safe for a relaxing swim. the deserted beaches and the discovery of two lonely purple seating bags in the sand, indicating a small dinner facility, added a touch of enchantment to my experience.
While the database warned about the sea being unsuitable for swimming, it failed to mention any possible inconvenience caused by the proximity of the ceiling fan to the mosquito net in the cabin. We had to be careful with the fan to prevent it from accidentally hitting the net.

The communal relaxation area, known as the Chill Zone, was the perfect spot for us to unwind and spend quality time together. With its cozy hammocks and comfortable seating, it provided a peaceful atmosphere where we could relax and enjoy each other's company. The kids loved playing games and having fun in this family-friendly space. It truly added a special touch to our stay.
My wife says that it would have been great if the resort had a dedicated children's play area.

The location was amazing, just a few minutes' walk from the beach. the rooms were spacious and clean, and they had mosquito nets which was a big plus. the owners were really friendly and welcoming, they made us feel right at home. the best part was the delicious food - we even got to help in the kitchen and learn more about the local cuisine!
Finding the place was a bit tricky, as there were no signs on the road. It took me over an hour to locate it.
